GIS technology provides a powerful tool to evaluate “what if ...” scenarios and capture, analyze and model complex data to support decision-making. B&N has used this technology in myriad ways, including to pinpoint weaknesses in water distribution systems and to assess contamination in polluted areas. Our GIS applications include AutoCAD Map, ArcView and ArcInfo from ESRL, and MapInfo. These applications accommodate a broad spectrum of functions such as data storage and management, spatial analysis, three-dimensional modeling, visualization, and map creation. Our GIS workstations can interface with digital imagery obtained from satellites, scanned images and other sources.
